Where did the time go?
Remember when we were kids and December couldn't get here fast enough? Now it seems to fly by faster and faster each year. Before you know it we'll round the corner and be into 2020 wondering what happened to the last year.
That's why I always try to take the time to remind us all that we need to slow down a little. Take some time to rest and recharge, enjoy time with friends and family, and pause long enough to let the significance of the season seize your heart. If we're not careful we'll let ourselves get so busy running in every direction that we miss out on the most important parts of this season. It will take some intentionality, and will require you to say no to some things, but the sanity you gain and the joy you will experience will be worth it.
For that reason we won't be adding a lot to your calendar this month. I know that you already have lots of requests for your time, much of which will pull your family in different directions. So, we will do most of our celebrating together during our normal service times, and leave the rest of your schedule open for you to spend with your family.
I pray that our times together will help you celebrate God's love for us, and the extent that Jesus went to so that we could come home to Him.

Here are a few things that are going on here at Revive this month.
Kid's Ministry - We'll have a short kid's program on Sunday, December 15th, during our 10:30 am service. Kids from our church and preschool will be involved. Come catch all the cuteness.
Keenagers - We'll have a great time of food and fellowship on December 16th at noon.
Legacy Youth Progressive Dinner - December 21st. Please meet at the church by 5:00 pm with a gift to share for the gift exchange.
December 22nd - We'll have a special family worship time with traditional Christmas carols, a few surprises, and reflections on the birth of Jesus during our 10:30 a.m. service. No 8:00 a.m. service on the 22nd.
I pray this season brings you much joy and rest, and fills your heart with the peace of Christ.
In Him, Pastor Jason Our mission is to share new life in Jesus and develop Christ-followers who change the world.
