“Our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with.” (Romans 6:6) Did you ever run around outside barefooted when you were a kid? Remember that feeling of total freedom to wiggle your toes around not restricted by socks and shoes? Isn’t it strange, now that we are grown and have become Christians, how reluctant we are to give ourselves permission to do, to think, to say, to buy and enjoy, or to be different and not worry about who may say what? Even though our God graciously granted us permission to be free, to have liberty, and to enjoy life, many in His family seldom give themselves permission!
