"Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding . . . " (Psalm 32:9) We Christians are referred to in God's Word as sheep sometimes. That makes us think of nice things like green pastures, still waters, and a gentle Savior keeping watch over us. But sometimes we can also be like mules . . . balky and stubborn. We should not continually fight and resist Him. We should not run away when He's trying to speak to us. This just causes Him to have to lasso us to make us draw near to Him. Why do we so often resist such a magnificent God who loves us? The answer I don't know, but it certainly makes no sense!
