"I will come like a thief in the night, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you." (Revelation 3:3) If you think about it, most of our days go off without a hitch, very predictable. Day after day, for the most part, it's the same old, same old. Days don't begin with divine skywriting. Angelic choirs don't waken us with celestial harmony. However, days that begin uneventful can also lead into an unbelievable, indescribable series of heart-stopping experiences . . . ordinary days can become extraordinary. Like the day Jesus arrived . . . there wasn't one person in Judea who awoke that morning expecting such a life-changing event to take place in the village of Bethlehem. And what about the day Christ returns? People will be shopping or working. Planes will be taking off and landing. Then suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, Christ will split the sky, and God's great plan for the future will suddenly take center stage. It could be tomorrow. It could be today!
