Mid Week Devotional With Chris Chase

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:34) Eventually, worry comes to the door of every person's mind and knocks. What should we do when it does? First, we must set our minds on Christ. "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things [that would worry you] shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). When we are first tempted to worry, that is the critical moment. Our tendency is to let worry sit on the front porch of our minds. But eventually worry crawls in through the window and makes itself at home! We must stop worry in its tracks right away. We have to make the decision that we are going to commit worry to God right away and refuse to entertain it, even on the front porch of our thinking!
